I got an employment offer in Poland, but I don’t know anything about it or anyone there. How can I familiarize myself with everything about Poland?

The kid doesn’t need PESEL.

To be eligible, the parent's TRC and passport and the child's birth certificate are enough. This application needs to be submitted every year until the child is 18 years old. The application period is from June to May.

Requirements for Citi Bank Credit card:

1. Valid Visa or TRC, or Blue card

2. Passport

3. Last 3 months' Pay slips

4. Last 3 months bank statement

5. Rental Agreement

If you are going to someone already holding a Citibank credit card, if they refer you, they also get the same freebies, which are three bags, and you will also get the same. So both will benefit. But each Citibank credit cardholder can refer only 8 people.

After getting the PESEL Number again go to the bank and give the PESEL Number for creating a Trusted Profile.

Paid Leaves in Poland

In Poland, IT employees, like other employees, are entitled to paid annual leave based on their length of service. Employees with less than 10 years of service receive 20 days of annual leave per year, while those with at least 10 years of service are entitled to 26 days per year. 

  • 20 days: employees with less than 10 years of service,

  • 26 days: employees with less than 10 years of service.

Occasionally, certain employees are granted only 20 days of leave despite possessing over 10 years of experience. This discrepancy arises because the employee experience letters were not accurately updated in the company's leave management system. Therefore, in January, during the review of leave records within our leave management platform, it is essential to verify their correctness according to our records. If discrepancies are identified, we must contact the Human Resources department to ensure the records are correctly updated.

Several rules have been revised concerning individuals holding Master's and Bachelor's degrees. These degrees will also be recognised as relevant experience. Kindly consult with your Human Resources department and ensure that your records are appropriately updated.


NRI Bank Account Conversion Rules

NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), defined under FEMA as those staying abroad for more than 182 days in a financial year, cannot maintain resident savings accounts in India. They must convert these to either an NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) account for Indian-sourced income like rent or pensions, or open a new NRE (Non-Resident External) account for repatriable foreign earnings. Resident savings accounts cannot be directly redesignated as NRE; conversion is typically to NRO, with NRE opened separately using foreign remittances

Implications of Not Converting

Failure to convert violates FEMA and RBI guidelines, potentially leading to account freezing by banks upon detecting non-residency. Penalties include fines up to three times the account balance (or ₹2 lakhs if unquantifiable) plus ₹5,000 daily from the violation date until compliance. Additional risks involve tax complications on unreported interest, remittance restrictions abroad, and legal action, though enforcement varies and some NRIs report no issues if no remittances occur.

For ICICI Bank, we can convert the NRO account using the m-Bank application from Poland itself.

If you are not using any bank accounts, it’s better to close them. At least start the process to close it.
