Many people told me face-to-face that this driving license blog was very useful to them, and that they got their licenses based on the information in this blog post. But the unfortunate thing is that many of them have not commented on the blog that they benefited from this post. I'm requesting everyone who benefited from this blog post: please provide comment, and encourage me to provide much more information like this.
Exchange a foreign driving license in Poland.
Poland Driving licenses are two types:
1. If you don't have an Indian Driving License, you have to give Theory and Practical Exams.
2. If you have an Indian Driving License, you have to take only a Theory Test.
Theory Test: We have two Websites (premium) that give a complete set of questions and Answers. I heard it almost 1600 Q&A.
It will take approx. 2 Week’s time to study.
So, Book an exam two weeks before and prepare for two weeks, then give an exam.
What is the advantage of this License in Poland for an Indian?
You can book rental cars like traficar for 70 PLN for one day and 1 PLN per KM.

0,99 zł/km
Example: From Krakow to Lavender farm fields trip, it's around 190 PLN.
With this License, we can go over Europe.

Following successful completion of the exam, if you have not yet received your Polish Driving License, please proceed with the following steps:
To expedite the final step regarding Polish DL and Indian DL verification, we have another option. We can visit the Warsaw Embassy to obtain the certificate shown in my Blog. With this certificate, after the exam, we can receive the Polish DL in one week if we visit the town hall office. A friend told me that Telangana DL is not verified on the Parivahan website. This embassy certificate must be obtained to get the Polish DL in such cases.
You have received your Polish Driving License, and your original Indian Driving License to be returned by the Indian Embassy.
a) After one month, we can book an appointment in Warsaw Indian Embassy to get an Indian Driving license.
b) Sometimes it takes 2 months- In such situations Mail to inf.warsaw@mea.gov.in and they will confirm if they have received your license, following up with Urząd so that they send it to Indian embassy.
c) Go to Warsaw Indian Embassy to collect your Original Indian Driving License. Appointment not needed for collection. One of our Indian explained that, visited for a driving license document, and I got it the same day, but I needed to visit in the evening between 4 and 5 p.m. for document collection. I paid 108 PLN.
Courier (InPost) Pickup:
1. Email the embassy to check if your driving license is available for collection and inquire about the collection method. They will inform you to book an import courier and provide you with the necessary steps.
2. Upon confirmation, arrange for an INPOST courier.
3. Once you have received the barcode and printed address receipt from INPOST, send these to the embassy.
4. The embassy will acknowledge receipt, and the courier will be prepared to collect.
5. Subsequently, add a collection option in the INPOST courier with the embassy's address for pickup, which will incur an additional charge of approximately 8-10 PLN.
6. After completing the above steps, INPOST will collect your driving license from the Warsaw embassy and deliver it to your address.

FAQs:
Query: When exchanging an Indian license, must it be an Indian international license or a normal one?
Answer: Regular/Normal Indian Driving License.
Query: But can we drive with an Indian license for a period? For example, I can drive in the US every time I enter for up to 3 months with an Indian license.
Answer: Nope. You need an international license if you want to continue driving in the EU without a license from one of the EU countries.
Domestic driving licences issued in countries that have not ratified the 1968 Vienna Convention (such as the United States or India) may not be recognised in Poland. Drivers who hold such licences usually have to obtain an international driving permit in order to be allowed to drive in Poland for the period of up to 6 months from the date of entry into the country. Moreover, holders of such licences are required to pass the driving theory test in order to exchange their driving licence for a Polish one.
Query: International driving license issued in India will valid in Poland, if yes, how many months?
An international driving permit issued in countries that are parties to the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic is valid for 6 months in Poland. After 185 days of residence in Poland, it must be exchanged for a Polish driving licence.
Query: After passing the exam, can I go to the Urzad office the next day to exchange the license, or do I need to wait?
Answer: Not the next day. You need to wait for communication or at least change the status of your ticket online. In my case, I just went after about 2 weeks and got it.
Query: Where did you check the status of your ticket?
Query: I'm experiencing a delay with my driving license PKK application, which has been pending embassy verification for more than a month. I'd like to contact the embassy for an update. Yes the details available in parivahan site. Do you know the right email id for this purpose?
Answer:
You can email embassy about the status:inf.warsaw@mea.gov.in
Query: For example, my Indian Driving License will expire in 2027, and I am applying in September 2025 for an exchange of my Polish driving license to my Indian DL. In this case, what will be the expiry date of my Polish DL? Is it in 2027, or will they issue a DL by default for 10 years?
Answer:
For exchange, you will receive the same date as the validity of the Indian license. Subsequently, renew the Polish DL here and the Indian license in India.
Yes, you will be issued a license until the validity of your current Indian license.
Query: When I undertake renewal in 2027, am I required to retake the Theory examination as I did initially, or will the renewal be processed without the examination? Additionally, is a medical examination necessary at the time of renewal?
Answer:
There is no examination; only renewal is required. The necessity of medical assessment depends, I believe, but there will be no online examination. Only a health check-up is mandated.
Renewal:
If your driving License is approaching its expiration date, you will be required to obtain a medical report from Luxmed and submit it. Once you submit the report, you will receive a Polish driving licence valid for four years.
Medical reports must be submitted every four years.

Indian Embassy Driving License Verification Certificate
Uber is dropping us off at the British embassy when we enter the Indian embassy address, so it's better to put Ujazdów 2 in Uber.

Fill in the PDF file below, print it out, and submit it to the Indian Embassy in Warsaw in person. After document verification, only the fee of 108 PLN will be collected at the Warsaw Embassy. Every day at 4 PM, we are able to collect the certificates at the Warsaw Indian Embassy. You can submit the License certificate to Urzad office.

The documents we have to bring to the embassy:
A Xerox copy is a must
1. Application form duly filled out, “Embassy of India, Warsaw Application for Miscellaneous Services” with Photo
2. duly filled UNDERTAKING form
3. Original Indian driving license
4. Original Indian passport
5. Poland Residence card (TRC or EU Blue Card)
For any service when you are visiting the Indian Embassy, we must have a valid residence status document here, i.e., TRC or EU Blue Card.
For example, if your TRC or EU Blue Card is being processed and your visa has expired, in such a scenario, you should have submitted the TRC application and your passport should display the RED stamp. That page xerox must be submitted along with the relevant application. Otherwise, the Embassy won’t accept your application.
If we miss taking any photocopies near the Indian Embassy, there is a Xerox shop. It is 700 meters from the embassy. We should walk towards the Spanish Embassy, cross the flyover, and the Xerox shop is on the right side near India Taste Restaurant. In the security office, they will provide you with the Xerox shop address.

Exchange Indian Driving License to Polish Driving License.

4. In Krakow, visit the town hall before 11 AM or 1 PM to get the PKK number token, which is limited daily.
5. With the Indian DL translation, go to the PESEL office (town hall) and pay 100 PLN to obtain the PKK number. Take the original Indian Driving License with you. Select B Driving License.
6. The second requirement is Address proof. It’s Better to have an Address registration certificate. Even the Rental Agreement is acceptable.

You can choose never to take the motorcycle exam and still get your license, but it is a choice.
