Krakow Wawel Underground:
From May 23, 2025 Międzymurze ( The Wawel Underground) has open to visit everyone.
The “Międzymurze” archaeological and architectural reserve is a new underground exhibition located in the western part of Wawel Hill. The name of the exhibition refers to the space between the castle’s defensive walls.
The underground route leads between the old walls, which create a centuries-old scenography extracted from the semi-darkness by light and modern media. The first wooden and earth defensive rampart, the gate leading to the hill with a defensive tower, stone, Gothic walls... Their preserved fragments together with elements of medieval weapons create a story about the defensive capabilities of Wawel Castle. It is worth seeing!
