Airtel Recharge:

1. Base plan to keep your number active for some days. Here, we need to take a 365-day plan. The minimum amount is 1848/- INR. for 365 Days. It differs for each State.

2. International roaming service activation. Free incoming SMS. Data/ voice/outgoing SMS at standard charges (USA, UK, Asia & more) - 98/- Per month. We have to recharge this amount every month. I didn't see a 365-day plan for this.

Airtel 1849 or any denomination plan is a base plan to keep the number active in India. You will not receive SMS unless you do a recharge in the International Roaming category, which starts with Rs.98

Initially it's 98/- INR from 2026 it's 118/- INR

Question: I cannot receive an SMS through my Airtel SIM even after recharge.

Question: How to replace the Airtel SIM card from Poland without going to India?

It seems very common nowadays.  SIM is getting corrupt... The only solution, as per CC, is to get a new SIM issued by a blood relative in India

Solution: We would request you to arrange a visit from your immediate blood relative to a nearby Airtel relationship center to get the duplicate SIM card for your Airtel number along with the documents:         

1) POI/POA i.e Proof of Identity/ Proof of Address (Registered Customer)     

2) POI/POA (Authorized person)     

3) Authorization letter (NOC)     

4) Passport-size photograph     

5) Passport (front and back page)     

6) Valid visa     

7) SIM card photo.   

Jio

Unlike Jio, Airtel does not officially support International VoWiFi (Wi-Fi Calling) for roaming.

If you have Wi-Fi broadband at home or in the office, you will get Wi-Fi. If you don’t have it, you can get Wi-Fi from another Mobile Hotspot.

Finally, once you have Wi-Fi on your mobile device, you can receive SMS messages on your Jio SIM.

I recently visited the Airtel office in Hyderabad and inquired about the procedure for a person abroad who loses their SIM card and wishes to activate it again. Specifically, I asked how they can recover either their eSIM or physical SIM.

The response was that a friend or relative must visit the Airtel store with the following documents:

1.      a passport,

2.      a Xerox of the visa,

3.      an authorisation letter.

4.      The authorised person must then send a scanned and signed copy of the letter to the friend or relative, who should print it out.

5.      Additionally, a video call must be made to the Airtel store, and a screenshot of this call should be provided.

These steps are necessary to obtain only a physical SIM card.

Once the physical SIM is activated through the application, it is possible to convert it into an eSIM.

The physical SIM received from the store must be activated once within the Indian network.

Otherwise, it will not function in Poland.

Furthermore, an eSIM cannot be activated from Poland; it requires initial connection to an Indian tower for activation.
